Speakers sound wonderful. Will our meals be included in the registration fee?
Can we have genealogical problems solved? What are the hours we will be researching @ the Library? Will there be a special celebration commenorating the 30 years of Polish research at the conference?
What is the name of the hotel where we will be residing?
Thank you.
Betty,

I am having trouble finding a date for the 2008 Conference on your blog. Found speaker biographies, but no date or link to the more information.
Hi Roger,
The dates for the conference are April 18-21, 2008. The dates were posted in the very first article on the blog:
http://upgs.wordpress.com/2007/07/31/hello-world/
I realize now that the dates are hard to find, since older articles keep getting pushed farther down the page. Thanks for pointing this out. I’ll add the dates and other details to the other articles so it’s easier to find.
Steve,
I see we have a beautiful masthead. The work of Jasia I presume?
Bravo!

Yes, indeed Ceil! Art design provided courtesy of Graphics By Jann Web Design at http://gbjann.com/ .
Steve
Just found this site and as I am a novice genealogy person I wonder if this conference would be beneficial or way over my head…I haven’t even gotten my Polish family in the US completely found yet!! Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Marilyn
Marilyn,
The conference organizers have included lectures and activities suitable for genealogists of all skill levels. There will be lectures on Introduction to Polish Genealogy and Finding Your Polish Village, online resources, and resources in the Family History Library. In addition, attendees will be able to schedule consultations with experienced researchers who can help you get started in the right direction.
I hope you will be able to join us in Salt Lake City!
Steve
Steve Danko/Ceil Jensen,
I have three questions:
1) I sent an email of the funeral card scans I did. Did someone receive them and did Ceil get them? [I have the ~13MB file on my computer and I would like to delete it, if it has been successfully received.]
2) I did not get the handout that Tomasz Nitsch created from his presentations with the links. Can someone post that here?
3) Wasn’t Ceil going to post the other missing links/URLs from other presentations or do another mass email?
Thanks!
Great Conference.
–mike
Thank you, Mike.
I did received the scanned funeral card files. Please feel free to delete your copy. I want to thank Mike, Steve, Jim,and Tom for helping with the scanning project.
My mother in law died this weekend after an extended illness. I will post and send out emails after the services for her this week.
I appreciate all the kind wishes I have received from UPGS attendees. I ask for your patience as I attend to family matters.
Ceil
